Most people these days have heard of, seen or even use Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. The logos appear in shop windows, on flyers and even on TV adverts.

If you already have one or more of these accounts and are using them effectively, you will probably have seen how this avenue can work. They are great ways to keep in touch with your current customers/clients or reach out to a new network of potential business opportunities.

Each social networking website (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, though there are also others) operates differently.

Effective marketing using Twitter:

  1. Create a Twitter account
  2. Have the profile description and design branded to your company
  3. Start posting messages (known as ‘tweets’) for viewers.
  4. Integrate the Twitter account into your company’s website.
  5. Integrate a Twitter feed into your company’s website.
  6. Contact your current customers/clients by email with a link to your Twitter page and ask them to follow you.
  7. Start following similar people in your business field.
  8. Every day post 5-10 messages (tweets) with content (information, jokes, related websites, related material, your promotions). But don’t just tweet 5-10 messages a day with your promotions. No-one wants to read these all day long – i.e. balance your tweets. Nobody minds seeing at least some promotions, but if this is all you can say, then don’t!
  9. Create competitions as messages (tweets)
  10. Reply to other users’ messages on your Twitter follow feed.
  11. If people reply to you, always reply back to them.

If you do the above over time, you will build up a network of followers who are interested to hear what you have to say. Then when you do have a real promotion or want to release some news, people will come back to you with enquiries for potential business.

In all things in life there is a balance.

  2. Get every tweet posted for you over the month. These are done at random between a time of your choice, eg 8am – 8pm. Approx 300 tweets.
  3. Tweets include public related news posted to create a variety of tweets (if there is one available with your business content). With this package we don’t build followers for you – this will be up to you.
  4. Includes a direct message to people who follow you. (i.e. an advert of your services immediately sent to people follow you)

* With each Twitter packages there is also a set-up cost as we have to pay writers and research your subject. To write all the content and set up the basic structure to move forward.

  3. Over the month we will build a network of genuine followers from potential clients interested in what your business does. The amount of new followers you get will depend on the business, but this could be 50 a week so after a month it could be 100-200 new real targeted followers. This is an estimated figure, since you can’t guarantee people will follow you.
  4. Tweets include public related news posted to create a variety of tweets (if there is one available with your business content).
  5. Includes a direct message to people who follow you. (i.e. an advert of your services immediately sent to people follow you)
